Wow. Love the quotes around the word “comedy.”
(via an email from Dan G)

As I’ve always been a big Mike Myers fan, I’ve been holding out a shred of hope that this movie wouldn’t be as miserable as it looks. I remember hearing that he was workshopping the Guru Pitka character at small live shows around NYC, and being excited about his work ethic and the possibility of a new Austin Powers-like sensation. Even with low expectations, I never would have predicted a trailer full of midget jokes and the absence of “one single laugh.” What happened somewhere during the creative process that we’re left with this?
I’ve been promising co-workers I’m going to see this movie in theaters, regardless of how bad it’s reviewed, because I have faith in my Mike. I am beginning to taste the bitter fruit called regret.
